The origins of the Grillshack
Steve and Susan Richter and their family, East Nashville locals for the past 20 years, have put their blood, sweat, and tears into building the Grillshack into what it is today. Both of them work tirelessly to serve our community the best burgers in town!

Before the Grillshack came into existence, it was all about the fries! From mobile beginnings in a food truck (Uber-Tuber) our hand-cut fries quickly grew in popularity!

In the fall of 2019 The Grillshack broadened its horizons to serve even more of our beautiful Nashville community by opening our second location on 5th Avenue in Germantown.

A few years later, with a brick-and-mortar storefront location conveniently located on Riverside Drive, it became possible to expand, and what goes better with fries than a delicious, classic burger? Nothing. You're absolutely right! Thus, the Grillshack was born!

At the start of 2024, The Grillshack and the amazing people at Yazoo Brewery in Madison have teamed up to give Nashvillians an even better experience! Nothing goes better with a burger and fries than an ice-cold Yazoo beer!
